CoCOS PILOTS’ RESULTS COMING IN
As the CoCOS project advances and the educators experiment with co-creation, the first results are starting to come in. In this newsletter we share results from the learners’ surveys.
At the end of each pilot, the learners were invited to evaluate their experience. we have now collected a sample of n=174 with relative parity between male and female students. All questions use a Lickert scale of 1 (min) to 6 (max).
SURVEY RESULTS:
The co-creation idea
These questions attempt to establish how clear the method and objectives were, and how appealing the ideas was at the start of the pilots.
SURVEY RESULTS:
Learners’ participation and evaluation
The next 3 questions relate to learner’s understanding of what’s expected from them, their satisfaction with own work and the reported levels of involvement and motivation.
SURVEY RESULTS:
Co-creation method appeal
The last two questions relate to whether the learners would want their teacher to use the method again and whether they now find co-creation more appealing than other traditional methods.
Full results will be available when all pilots will have finished at the end of 2019.
THE CoCOS PROJECT
CoCOS is a European Erasmus+ KA2 funded project that has as a main objective to apply the mindset, methods and tools gleaned for open source development to the co-creation of course content. In a number of diverse pilot courses we will test out and evaluate our experiences with open educational resources (OERs), open source platforms and freely available web tools explicitly designed to reduce course management during co-creation.
